Come back to his page to donate to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – updated fundraising kickoff will be announced soon!

Ryan is a sports medicine physician for Dignity Health, working with all levels of athletes from youngsters to the pros.

Born near Seattle, Ryan is a west coast guy through and through. After playing rugby in college in Southern California, he took his talents to Chicago for medical school and then to Florida to attend the Mayo Clinic medicine residency. Thankfully, a career in sports medicine brought him back to the west coast and he now calls the Bay Area home.

If you haven’t heard his rendition of Sweet Caroline at Silver Clouds or played him in Pop-a-Shot at Mauna Loa… you should probably consider yourself lucky. He’s also a regular on the dance floors of Jaxson, White Rabbit, and Westwood, and organizing flag football games or playing Spikeball with the squad is a regular occurrence.

Traveling the world is more than a hobby for Ryan, and after visiting 33 countries before the age of 30, the new goal is 50 before 40. Still relatively new to San Francisco, Ryan enjoys continuing to explore all that the Bay Area has to offer and routinely goes on long runs through the city, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and along the beach. He is a goofy, spontaneous, athletic, caring, and driven individual who would fit the title of Mr. Marina like a glove. He is looking forward to this experience and all that it may have to offer!
